We welcome only a handful of guests at a time, not into a tasting room, but into the living soul of our farm.
Tastings unfold where the estate reveals its most intimate charms: beneath leafy pergolas draped in dappled light, within the quiet cool of the cellar among the casks, between the vineyard rows heavy with fruit, or high on the hill where a sweeping 360° view stretches across the Paarl Valley, the Klein Drakenstein Mountains, and the far-off silhouette of Table Mountain.
Each encounter is private and unhurried, a chance to pause, breathe, and savor our handmade wines in the very landscapes that shape them. Here, guests discover not only wine but the quiet poetry of a 300-year Huguenot story, carried from the Loire Valley to Paarl.
What to Expect
Each tasting is guided personally by your host and winemaker, unfolding in a calm, conversational style. Here, you will be invited to linger, to ask questions, and to discover the craftsmanship and heritage behind each wine.

75–120 minutes, giving space to linger and savor.

Cuisine
To complement the wines, guests enjoy either seasonal tapas-style plates or a more leisurely picnic-style charcuterie spread, both designed to pair beautifully with our wines and the rhythm of the farm.
Setting
Guests are invited to choose their setting, as tastings unfold across a tapestry of intimate and elegant spaces.
In case of inclement weather, tastings may be moved to a sheltered area.
The Arbor
Set within the gardens of the old manor house, The Arbor offers a secluded retreat beneath leafy pergolas, where the pace of the estate seems to soften. Beyond the garden, the old-vine Chenin Blanc vineyard unfolds towards the distant Paarl Rock, drawing together house, garden, vineyard and mountain in one uninterrupted view.
Geese wander freely through the gardens and gather beside the old fountain, bringing a gentle liveliness to the peaceful setting. It is a place that invites guests to linger, to savour each glass slowly, and to experience the garden not simply as a backdrop, but as an intimate part of the tasting itself.
The Vigneron’s Table
Set among the vineyard rows, The Vigneron’s Table brings guests into the heart of the estate, where wine may be enjoyed in the very landscape from which it originates. Beneath the open sky, the long farmer’s table is surrounded by vines, warm earth and the subtle movement of the vineyard through the seasons.
The Klein Drakenstein Mountains rise beyond the rows, while views extend towards Paarl Rock and, on clear days, as far as Table Mountain on the horizon. Immersed in this working vineyard, the tasting takes on a sense of place that is both immediate and authentic, allowing each wine to be discovered within the soils, slopes and surroundings that gave it character.
The Belvedere
High above the estate, The Belvedere occupies a private hilltop position where the horizon seems to stretch without interruption. From this lofty perch, the Paarl Valley spreads out below, framed by the sculpted ridges of the Klein Drakenstein Mountains and, in the distance, the unmistakable outline of Table Mountain.
Vineyards and farmland form a patchwork across the valley floor, while the vast sky and shifting mountain light lend the setting a striking sense of openness and perspective. Throughout the day, changing tones move across the landscape, giving each tasting a different mood and drawing the eye ever outward. The Belvedere is a place of elevation in every sense, where wine, altitude and panorama come together in a memorable expression of the estate.
The Cask Room
Within the cool, hushed atmosphere of the cellar, guests are welcomed into the working heart of La Luandière. Rows of oak barrels line the space, where the faint aromas of wood, wine, stone and earth linger in the air. The subdued light, cooler temperature and gentle stillness create a sense of retreat from the brightness of the vineyards outside.
There is a sense of connection to tasting here, surrounded by wines resting quietly in barrel and the tools of the winemaker’s craft. Each glass feels closely connected to the process of its making, from fermentation and maturation to the patient passage of time. The cellar reveals another side of the estate, one shaped by restraint, craftsmanship and anticipation, offering guests the rare pleasure of experiencing the wines in the place where much of their character is slowly formed
